Google Talk - Labs Edition: Did you know about it?

http://www.google.com/talk/labsedition/index.html

You have to sacrifice file transfers and voice... but you get tabbed chats (for those who go crazy with a million chat windows open).

I find it's ok for me, but when inputting Korean, for example, the hangeul appears above the chat dialog box and is a bit inconvenient to read.

You can install it without removing the original Gtalk, though, so it's worth a shot to see which one is best for you.

Korean references in 2009 film "Moon"

I've watched the highly recommended film (BBC's Mark Kermode really liked it) "Moon", directed by David Bowie's son Duncan Jones.

It was a really good SF picture. Sam Rockwell is great. Read about it at IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1182345

I found it really interesting that they named the moon base Sarang 사랑 (hangeul included on the sets) and, as mentioned on IMDB, "The last word that the announcer says on the video shown before the return to Earth capsule is launched is "Annyeongnikyeseyo" which is Korean for "good-bye"."

Cool, huh?

Back in the day, Hollywood featured Japanese as a futuristic language (refer to Bladerunner 1982). But more and more it's Korean.

Nice! (Though sadly they could have worked on more accurate pronunciation...)
